Father and Son

The story, “Wild Duck”, is written by Romesh Gunesekere, and it is about a father and a son who are hunting ducks. They are sitting in a small boat, waiting for the birds to leave from their hiding places. The father had won the 22 riffle in a poker-game. The gun was quite special. It was said that it had been used in the revolution! The father wants his son to talk much more. He does not feel that he know his son at all. He cannot see trough his thoughts.
